Tumbbad, the critically acclaimed Hindi mythological horror film from 2018, completed its four-year run on Wednesday, October 12. Critics and fans alike praised the film for its unique subject matter and hailed it as one of India’s most iconic films.
On the occasion of the film’s fourth anniversary, Sohum Shah, the lead actor and producer, said he would always be proud of it. Not just because it received so much love and appreciation from all over the world but also because it took sweat, tears, blood and a lot of effort to produce.
Among its international premieres were the 75th Venice International Film Festival, Fantastic Fest. Sitges Film Festival and 23rd International Film Festival of Kerala.

A number of prestigious award functions recognized the company with numerous accolades and nominations. During the 64th Filmfare Awards, Tumbbad was nominated for eight awards and ended up winning three, including Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction, and Best Sound Design.
IS TUMBBAD 2 GOING TO HAPPEN?
There have been a lot of rumors surrounding whether Tumbbad will have a sequel since its success. Adesh Prasad, Sohum Shah, Rahi Anil Barve, and Rahi Anil Barve are reportedly working hard to make Tumbbad 2 a reality, as per recent media reports.
TUMBBAD 2 CAST & CREW

Tumbaad 2 was expected to be announced on the fourth anniversary of Tumbbad, but it hasn’t been announced. Going by speculations, Tumbbad 2, if it happens, is not going to have Sohum Shah in the lead role, instead. We may see him as either a director or producer.
Shah is currently enjoying the success of Sony LIV’s popular political drama Maharani 2. There are a number of projects in the pipeline for the actor, including “Sanaa” with Radhika Apte and “Dahaad”.
